1. Operator and acceptance
Playmatch is operated by Theory Media, MB, company code 306703001, registered at Linksmoji g. 73-308A, LT-11231 Vilnius, Lithuania. By accessing or using Playmatch, you agree to these terms. If you use Playmatch for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into these terms. If local law requires parental or guardian authorization, you may use Playmatch only with that authorization. Keep access to your account secure and provide accurate information. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. What Playmatch provides
Playmatch provides game discovery, catalogue information, Game DNA profiles, personalized recommendations, natural-language intent parsing, Steam destinations, and selected developer tools. Features may change as the product develops. We may correct, suspend, or remove a feature where needed for security, reliability, legal compliance, or product quality.
4. Recommendations are guidance
Recommendations, Game DNA, similarity scores, confidence values, and explanations are estimates based on available data. They are not guarantees that you will enjoy a game. Store descriptions, availability, prices, reviews, platform support, and other third-party facts can change. Check the relevant Steam page before buying or installing a game.
5. Steam and other third-party services
Playmatch is not affiliated with Valve Corporation or Steam. Steam and other linked services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party services, purchases, accounts, content, outages, or changes. Leaving Playmatch through a store link moves your activity to that third party.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Playmatch, interfere with its operation, bypass access controls or rate limits, scrape or copy the service in a way that harms it, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person or organization, submit unlawful or deceptive material, manipulate recommendations or analytics, or use the service to infringe another person's rights. Reasonable use of public pages by standard search crawlers is permitted subject to published crawl controls.
7. Your submissions
You retain rights in text, feedback, claim evidence, and other material you submit. You give Theory Media, MB a non-exclusive license to host, process, reproduce, and display that material only as needed to operate, secure, review, and improve Playmatch. You confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
8. Playmatch content and intellectual property
The Playmatch name, interface, code, Game DNA taxonomy, selection logic, original copy, and other service materials belong to Theory Media, MB or its licensors. Game names, artwork, descriptions, trademarks, and store data belong to their respective owners. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
9. Developer tools and commercial placement
A developer claim does not become verified until Playmatch reviews it. Developer-provided evidence remains distinguishable from other evidence. Commercial placement, when available, may buy eligible distribution but cannot buy a higher organic relevance score. Separate commercial terms may apply before paid tools or campaigns are activated.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Playmatch at any time and may request account deletion by emailing [email protected]. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, security risk, unlawful activity, harm to other users, or a legal requirement. Where practical, we will provide notice and a chance to resolve the issue.
11. Availability, liability, and mandatory rights
Playmatch is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, Theory Media, MB does not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free recommendations and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights available under Lithuanian or European Union law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Lithuanian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. Contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a concern. Disputes may be brought before the competent courts determined by applicable law.
13. Changes
We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date appears above. If a change materially affects registered users, we will provide reasonable notice through the service or available contact details before the change takes effect where required.
